Sagye Restaurant - Imperial Wharf

Tucked away at 7 The Blvd in Imperial Wharf, London, Sagye Restaurant - Imperial Wharf brings a fresh, modern vibe to the traditional flavors of Chinese and Southeast Asian cuisine. The moment you step inside, you're welcomed into a sleek, contemporary setting that somehow still feels cozy - a smart balance between chic and comfort that works well whether you're solo dining or gathering with friends over small plates and cocktails.

Sagye has quickly earned a loyal following, and it’s easy to see why. Their dim sum is a standout - delicately steamed, perfectly portioned, and packed with bold flavors. The prawn dumplings are plump and juicy, while the steamed dumplings with tofu skin offer a lighter but deeply satisfying bite. If you're craving something with a bit more kick, the ribs in black bean sauce hit the mark - sweet, savory, and rich with umami, they pair effortlessly with a cold beer or glass of wine.

The Chinese sausage fried rice and egg fried rice are reliable go-tos - simple, fragrant, and comforting - but what really impressed me was the beef brisket and tendon. Slow-cooked to perfection, the meat is melt-in-the-mouth tender with a robust, almost herbal depth that hints at traditional Chinese herbal broth. It’s the kind of dish that feels both exotic and familiar at the same time.

Vegans and vegetarians will find plenty to enjoy too, thanks to Sagye’s thoughtful plant-based options like choi sum with oyster sauce (which can be made vegetarian upon request) and a salad bar featuring fresh, vibrant selections. There's also a rotating menu of organic dishes, which is a nice touch for health-conscious diners looking for lighter fare.

The menu doesn’t shy away from bold flavors either. The bak kut teh - a peppery herbal pork rib soup popular in Malaysia and Singapore - brings serious warmth and depth, especially when paired with a side of rice noodle rolls. You don’t often find this level of authenticity in a London restaurant outside Chinatown, but Sagye delivers the real deal.

Service-wise, they’ve clearly thought of everything. Need a quick bite? Opt for the counter service. Dining in with friends? There’s ample seating and gender-neutral toilets, plus free Wi-Fi if you’re working remotely or scrolling over lunch. And if you're more into late-night eats, you’re covered - Sagye stays open late and even offers happy-hour food alongside cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.

Accessibility is top-tier: there’s a wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance, seating, and toilet, making it welcoming for everyone. And if you're not dining in, Sagye makes it just as convenient to enjoy their food at home - they offer kerbside pickup, takeaway, no-contact delivery, and regular delivery services.

One feature that’s quietly brilliant is their all-you-can-eat option. This makes it super easy to sample a wide range of dishes - especially if you’re dining with a group or just feeling indecisive. It’s the kind of flexible setup that works well whether you’re here for a quick lunch, a full-course dinner, or just dropping in for dessert and coffee.

Speaking of dessert, yes, they’ve got that covered too. Classic Asian sweets, fusion twists, and even lighter Western-style desserts make a sweet finish to a rich meal. Whether it’s a scoop of lychee sorbet or something more decadent, there’s always room for just one more bite.

For those searching for a standout Chinese and Southeast Asian dining spot near Imperial Wharf, Sagye strikes a rare balance - authentic flavors, modern setting, accessibility, and thoughtful service. The variety is impressive, the vibe is relaxed, and the flavors are memorable.

Amazing Korean BBQ experience in London! We ordered a great selection of meats — beef bulgogi, LA galbi, pork belly, and Iberico pork — all super fresh and flavourful. The beef bibimbap was sizzling hot and packed with flavour, and the stir-fried chicken gizzard was a surprising highlight — tender, spicy, and addictive. Friendly staff, clean space, and great value for money. Totally worth the visit, even in the pouring rain!

Had an amazing experience at a Korean BBQ restaurant recently. We grilled beef, prawns, fish, chicken, and dumplings right at the table — everything was super fresh and flavourful. The variety was great and each bite was delicious. The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, and the ambience really added to the experience. Staff were very friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout. It’s a perfect spot for a fun meal with friends or family. Highly recommend if you’re into Korean BBQ or want to try something different!

I've visited Sagye in East London and this one in Imperial Wharf did not disappoint! Situated in a residential area, it's such a hidden gem. We really enjoyed the BBQ meats, especially the pork belly. The spring onion fried chicken and seafood pajeon were also great! Would recommend if you're in the area.

I used to visit Sagye several times with friends when it was located in East London — now it's finally opened in the West, even closer to me! The new location is spacious with a great atmosphere. Even though it’s a Korean BBQ spot, there’s barely any smell thanks to excellent ventilation! Spring Onion Fried Chicken – Super crispy on the outside, topped with a generous pile of spring onions and a touch of salad dressing. Absolutely delicious! Spicy Pork Belly – Perfect with rice! The pork belly was rich but not greasy, and the chili on top added an irresistible aroma. For the BBQ, we ordered Beef Short Ribs and Zucchini – The zucchini was juicy and flavorful after just a short time on the grill, and the beef short ribs were tender and satisfying. Average spend: £30–£40 per person Sagye Restaurant – Imperial Wharf, 7 The Blvd, London SW6 2UB

Went there recently and really liked it. The ox tongue and short ribs were my favourites — super tasty and cooked just right. The seafood pancake and pork soup were also pretty good. The place is clean and comfy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would come back again when I’m in the mood for Korean food.
